So this just happened…
Slipping…Too Much Slipping
Just dropped my Scrambler off at MotoCorsa to have the clutch inspected. My bike’s only 3200 miles old, and the clutch feels like it’s completely worn out (it’s been slipping a bit over the last few weeks, most notably heading up the hill heading west on the 26 – talk about an unnerving place to […]
Farkles For The Scrambler
Added a small tank protector to my scrambler today. I dig the way it breaks up the yellow. Especially stoked that I installed it myself!
Darth Vader!
I spent part of my morning at MotoCorsa getting new shoes put on my scrambler (pilot road 3 tires and they’re awesome). This set of Darth Vader valve stem covers just had to come home with me!
All the Motorbike Tires
We seem to have an over abundance of motorbike tires…
Turning a Scrambler Into a Tourer
Look what I did! I mounted my brand-new Mosko Moto Backcountry 25L bags on my Scrambler! I love the look. My Scrambler is turning into a proper little lightweight tourer, just in time for August’s adventures to Nakusp. Whee!!!
Ugh Overheating…
Stranded again due to epic-bad traffic and an overheated BMW. Why it was fine when it was 100 three days ago but not now that it’s raining and 65 is a mystery.
A Weekend In Hood River
We took a little overnight trip to Hood River this weekend as a shakedown for our upcoming trip to Nakusp in August (hooray! It’s been too long since we’ve made it to a Horizons Unlimited meetup). We had really nice weather, sunny and a little breezy. My new Mosko Moto Backcountry 30L duffle worked great […]
Diagnosing Issues FTW
After nearly a decade of motorbiking, I have, for the first time, successfully diagnosed a mechanical issue. All By Myself. My Scrambler was having some weird (to me) issues, namely appearing to lose power at speed, particularly going uphill, while the RPMs revved furiously (including hitting the rev limiter in 4th gear going about 47 […]
Land Of Joy
They call it the Land of Joy. And it’s clearly pretty magical when the motorbike cop who Never Waves (and, in fact, didn’t wave at my husband when he passed him earlier) waved at me, riding my Scrambler, before I waved at him. Said husband was a little cranky that I got a wave. What […]
