Finally got back on the bike today after my holiday break and Portland’s snow-and-ice-pocalypse over the last few days. I worked from home the first day, and then booked a Zipcar for the last two days since it was just too icy for two wheels.
Commuting by cage just sucks. It’s boring, hard to maneuver (and even harder to see around the safety pillars), and harder to really stay focused. The husband and I spent the commutes grumbling about how much it sucked.
I’m pretty sure I’ve fully crossed over on to the dark side and am really a motorcyclist now. I even feel better about being at work knowing that my BMW is waiting in the parking lot for me when the day’s over. Riding is cheaper than therapy, and more effective 🙂
Oh, and my new clutch lever and my Christmas present from the husband (a shiny and bright new LED headlight) are AWESOME. I can see so much better with the new headlight! So happy he got it for me 🙂
