Never forget…
Oswieceim, Poland
I’m in Oswiecim tonight and tomorrow (and am living it up in a swank hotel – don’t know how I managed that). Tomorrow, I’ll be visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau, and tonight after dinner (in the hotel’s restaurant, which has served Jacques Chirac and the Polish president!) I took a walk to old town Oswiecim. The translation of […]
Evening in Krakow
Last night, two Brit motorbikers wound up camping next to me at the campground I stayed at while in Krakow. They were nice folks, and invited me to join them for dinner in old town Krakow that evening. Usually, I don’t venture out into the cities after dark, what with being a single female traveler, […]
Krakow Street Scenes
I didn’t get a chance to post these last night. Here’s some of my favorite photos taken in Krakow yesterday. Enjoy!
Wawel Castle, Krakow
Today I spent several hours touring Wawel Castle, home to the kings (and one queen) of Poland, up until around 1620 or so. I even got to check out the cave under the castle where legend says a dragon lived!
Krakow, Poland
Here’s a handful of photos I took today while roaming around Krakow today. I actually saw three cats today, but only one obliged me with a photo.
Brno, Czechia
Just a couple of quick photos from Brno for the day before yesterday 🙂
Jablunkov, Czechia
Yesterday, I spent the night in Jablunkov, Czech Republic. Not on your radar as a traveler? That’s ok – it wouldn’t have been on mine except that it’s where my grandpa on my mom’s side was born. It’s such a cute little town in a beautiful countryside and Mom, I hope you enjoy the photos! […]
Kutna Hora and the Ossuary, Czechia
Today I made my way to Brno (shame, Moto GP will be here in just a couple of weeks) by way of Kutna Hora. Fans of Long Way Round might remember that this is where Ewan and Charley went to the ossuary. I spent some time there today and it was really incredible. Spooky, and […]
More Prague!
More Prague street scenes from my second day wandering around. Enjoy!
