Landslides closing Portland roads, snarling rush hour traffic

So this landslide resulted in a massive reroute for my commute home.  We’ve been having epic rains (yesterday broke the record for the most rain in a day in Portland EVER) and lots of road flooding, but tonight I wound up taking the massively long way round to get home. 

And I do mean the long way.  Even my reroute had a detour, because the way I’d have normally gone had a closed section due to…yep…a flooded roadway.

Who knew that motorbike commuting was its own adventure?!?
