Because of various schedule changes throughout my trip, I was only able to spend a day and a night in Scotland in the Dumfries area. My campsite for the night wins the award for most amazing view – I camped in the shadow of Hoddom Castle, a ruin that dates back to the mid 1500s. There were also sheep (they watched me intently as I set up my tent) and highland cattle! Gorgeous 🙂
