I camped for two nights in the medieval village of Alet les Bains, about 30km outside of Carcassone, in the foothills of the French Pyrenees. I’m so glad I did – it was one of the most pleasant camps of my trip and the town itself incredibly friendly, not to mention unbelievably old. There were also a lot of cats, several of whom took time out of their day to pose for my camera.
