After all the eating (and eating…and eating…) is done, my bike’s getting most of its 12K mile service done by my fabulous husband. And it’s getting some extras! Stainless steel crashbars from Touratech and a shiny new Magura hydraulic clutch! I’ve been wanting to do the hydraulic clutch conversion for a long while, but since […]
First Look: Magura Hydraulic Clutch
So this little bit of awesome will be going on my bike in the not-too-distant future. My clutch wrist is already excited!
Autumn’s here
I think it’s fall in the PNW. I’m back to wearing my trusty old Aerostich, and it drizzled just a bit on my ride in to work. Hooray for my favorite riding season!
Before too long…
These auxiliary lights will be on this bike… …I just have to wait for my Hex ezCAN to arrive.
Hot…
I do believe I’m starting to get used to my moto commute in 90+ degree temps.
Why Do You Ride? I Ride For Pie…

Cornering Practice
Did some neighborhood cornering practice this afternoon. Some days, I get lazy and don’t really look *through* my corners so I was really focused on that. Did a bunch of laps around our park while the husband took some photos. Also a good opportunity to break in my new riding jeans some more.
LAMP
Note to self: The next time your husband’s bike headlamp burns out, buy your next spare bulb. Yours is going to burn out in approximately a month.
Gear Review: First commute on my new Metzeler Roadtec 01s
First impressions of my new tires are good. They’re a little noisy, but I suspect that’s due to them actually being new. My morning commute was drizzly with wet streets, and I had dry streets on the way home. Grip was great both ways, and my bike handles so much better – cornering is natural […]
